The Kirkcudbright Gallery specializes in paintings from the Kirkcudbright School of Artists, paintings of Dumfries and Galloway and examples of work by leading Scottish Painters of the 19th and 20th Century.
The town of Kirkcudbright in Dumfries and Galloway was a mecca for artists during the early part of the 20th Century with many of the leading exponents of Scottish painting being attracted to the area due to the unique quality of the light. Throughout the later part of the century and in the early years of the new millennium the resurgence in interest in Kirkcudbright associated work has been profound. Today's artistic links with the area remain with Kirkcudbright designated as 'Artists Town'.
The rationale behind The Kirkcudbright Gallery's online conception allows presentation of works of art direct to any prospective purchaser/collector incorporating a very competitive pricing structure that exploits the low overheads inherent in this type of gallery. Subsequently we can offer many paintings that are extremelly competitively priced and by passing much of this saving directly to the client we believe, especially in these uncertain financial times, that we can offer exceptional value for money to any prospective purchaser.
We also feature paintings by John Leitch (BA Hons 1st class) Glasgow School of Art, along with other contemporary Scottish Artists.
